Description: Small, Deciduous tree with an upright habit and a rounded crown. Palmately lobed leaves, usually with five, rounded lobes, are mid to dark green. Inconspicuous, pale green flowers are produced in clusters in late spring. The foliage turns brilliant, rich red in autumn.

Acer campestre 'Evenley Red' was discovered growing in a hedgerow by Tim Whiteley, plantsman and owner of Evenley Wood Garden.
