Description: A medium-sized Deciduous tree with an upright habit and a rounded crown. Dark green, palmately lobed leaves generally have three lobes and finely toothed margins. Clusters of small red flowers are produced from early to mid-spring before the leaves emerge. The leaves turn bright shades of orange and red in autumn. 'Red Sunset' tends to show autumn colour earlier than other varieties of A. rubrum.
