Description: A medium-sized Deciduous tree with an upright, spreading habit, and often grown as a multi-stemmed tree. The creamy white bark is striking with pronounced beige lenticels, and is the most notable attribute of the tree. The bright green, ovate leaves have pointed tips (nearly heart-shaped) and toothed margins. Long, golden brown catkins are produced in late winter. The leaves turn bright yellow in autumn before falling.

This tree is named for the private garden, Grayswood Hill, in Surrey which has one of the largest tree collections in the country.
