Description: A medium-sized Deciduous tree with an upright habit and a rounded, open crown. 'Doorenbos' is often grown as a multi-stemmed tree. The attractive, peeling back is pure white, even on young trees. Dark green leaves are ovate to oval in shape and have coarsely toothed margins. Long, brown catkins are produced in early spring. The leaves turn bright yellow before falling in autumn.
Raised by and named for the renowned Dutch dendrologist and horticulturist, Simeon Gottfried Albert Doorenbos.
