Description: A medium-sized, Deciduous tree with an upright habit and oval crown, but can be grown as a multi-stemmed tree. 'Wakehurst Place Chocolate' has attractive glossy, chocolate-brown coloured bark. Dark green leaves are ovate to oval in shape with pointed tips and coarsely toothed margins. Brown catkins are produced in early spring. The foliage turns bright yellow in autumn before falling.
Named after Wakehurst Place in West Sussex.
