Description: A medium-sized Deciduous tree with an upright habit and a rounded crown. Narrow, dark green leaves are ovate to oblong in shape with finely toothed margins. Small, inconspicuous green flowers are produced singly or in clusters in mid-spring. The foliage turns red in a autumn before falling.

Flower:

Unusually, male, female and hermaphrodite flowers are held on the same plant, but separately (tri-monoecious). The inconspicuous flowers are small and green. Male flowers are held in clusters, and the female and hermaphrodite flowers are produced in smaller clusters, or singly. The flowers are produced in April, possibly earlier following a mild winter. The blooms are followed by small, green fruit.
