Description: A large, coniferous, Evergreen tree with an upright habit and a narrow, conical outline. The fissured bark is deep reddish-brown and has a cork-like texture. Blue-grey, Awl-shaped needles are produced on downward curved branches. The round cones are green when young, ageing to brown and will take two summers to mature.

Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Glaucum' is considered to be slower growing than the species (Sequoiadendron giganteum).
