Description: A clump-forming herbaceous Perennial with a bushy, upright habit. Mid-green to dark green leaves are ovate to triangular in shape with scalloped and toothed margins. The foliage smells of liquorice when crushed. Many purple-blue, tubular 2-lipped flowers have bright magenta calyces. The flowers are held in dense spikes on upright stems and produced in profusion from mid-summer into mid-autumn. The flowers are very attractive to bees and butterflies.
