Description: A Deciduous, clump-forming fern with graceful, arching fronds. The fronds are bipinnate and have lanceolate pinnae (leaflets) with pinnatifid lobing. The leaves are silver-grey with purple midribs and a paler purple band running down the centre of each frond. The sori are produced in a herringbone pattern on the undersides of the fronds. Variable in cultivation.
