Description: A small to medium-sized Deciduous tree with an upright habit when young, becoming rounded with age. This plant can be kept as a large Shrub with pruning. Attractive large, dark green leaves are palmately lobed and are deeply Divided with lanceolate leaflets. Branched clusters of umbels are composed of small, creamy-white flowers and are produced from mid to late summer. The flowers are followed by round, nearly black fruit. The flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies and the fruit is popular with birds. The trunk and juvenile stems are covered in large prickles, though these become sparse with age.

Branched clusters of umbels are composed of many tiny white flowers. The flowers are produced in July and August and are followed by round black fruit.
