Description: An Evergreen, rhizomatous Perennial with a clump-forming habit. Glossy dark green leaves flushed with red are ovate to oval in shape and have a leathery texture. The leaves are purplish-red on the undersides. Small bell-shaped flowers open deep magenta pink and fade to bright rose pink with age. Each Bloom has a deep red Calyx. The flowers are held in panicles on deep burgundy stems and are produced from mid to late spring. Attractive to pollinating insects and good for use as groundcover.
