Flower:
Large white flowers have three nearly triangular petals and three narrow, green pointed sepals. At the centre of each bloom is a deep purple (nearly black) ovary. The blooms are held singly atop upright stems and are produced in May.

Best in partial shade to shade in fertile, moisture retentive soil that is well drained. Trillium erectum f. albiflorum prefers a soil that is neutral to acidic.
