Description: A herbaceous Perennial with a clump-forming, upright habit. Pinnate leaves with oblong to Elliptic leaflets emerge deep red in spring before turning to glossy dark green with age. Single anemone form peony flowers are rich magenta-red, each Bloom has a prominent central cluster of smaller, ruffled petals tipped with gold. The flowers are held singly on upright stems and are produced from late spring into early summer. The Blooms are fragrant and excellent for use as cut flowers.
