Description: A medium-sized, Evergreen Shrub with an upright, spreading habit. Attractive pinnate leaves have many small, dark green, ovate to Elliptic leaflets. Pea-like flowers are bright yellow and have long, prominent stamens. The Blooms are held in pendulous Racemes and are produced from mid-winter into early spring. Attractive to pollinating insects.

The correct botanical name is Sophora 'Hilsop', 'Sun King' is a trademark, or preferred selling name.

Bright yellow, pea-like flowers are held in pendulous racemes and have long, prominent stamens. The flowers are produced along the branches from January into March.
