Description: A herbaceous Perennial with a clump-forming and upright habit. Dark grey-green leaves are oblong to lanceolate in shape and are crumpled at the margins. Deep purple, nearly black, buds open to small, burgundy-purple cup-shaped flowers. The Blooms are held on upright spikes that nod slightly at the tips. The flowers are produced from late spring into early summer and are excellent for use as cut flowers.
