Description: A herbaceous Perennial with a clump-forming, upright habit. Mid-green leaves are ovate to oval in shape with pointed tips and jagged, coarsely toothed margins. The leaves are mostly held at the base of the plant. Many small, bright yellow flowers are funnel-shaped. The Blooms are held in branched panicles and are produced from late spring into late summer. The Blooms have an unusual fragrance.

The genus Patrinia is named in honour of Eugene Patrin (1724-1815), a French scientist who travelled through Asia and collected plants.
