Description: A herbaceous Perennial with a clump-forming and upright-habit. Mid to dark green leaves are lanceolate to ovate in shape. Daisy-like flowerheads have petals (ray florets) that emerge deep orange and turn to bright red with age. At the centre of each Bloom is a prominent brownish-orange cone. The flowerheads are held singly atop sturdy, upright stems and are produced from midsummer into mid-autumn. The Blooms are fragrant and attractive to pollinating insects. Excellent for use as cut flowers.

The genus name Echinacea is based on the Greek word 'Echinos' for hedgehog, a reference to the prickly centre of the flower.

Scented daisy-like flowerheads have ray florets that emerge deep orange and turn to bright red with age. At the centre of each bloom is a brownish-orange cone with disc florets and stiff, pointed bracts. The blooms are held singly on upright stems and are produced from July into October.
