Description: A tuberous Perennial with thick, upright stems. Mid-green to dark green leaves are broadly linear to lanceolate in shape with pointed tips. The bases of the leaves clasp around the red-tinged stems. Bright orange-red, orchid-like flowers are composed of a hooded upper petal and two, lobed lower petals. The Blooms are held in clusters atop vertical stems from late summer into early autumn.
