Description: A semi-Evergreen shuttlecock-type fern with a tufted habit. Upright sword-shaped fronds are bipinnate with oval to oblong pinnae (leaflets). The new growth emerges yellow-green in spring and matures to mid-green. The stalks and midribs of the fronds are covered in coarse brown hairs. Each frond can reach to 90cm or more in height, occasionally to 1.8m.

Ivory white to pale yellow sori are produced on the undersides of the pinnae.

Foliage:
