Description: A clump-forming, herbaceous Perennial with an upright habit. Mid to dark green leaves are ovate in shape and bristly. Daisy-like flowers are composed of bright yellow petals (ray florets) surrounding a central disc that is golden yellow initially, but turns to nearly black with age. The Blooms are held singly or in small clusters on upright stems and are produced from late summer into early autumn. Excellent for use as cut flowers and attractive to pollinating insects.

Flower:

Daisy-like flowerheads are composed of bright yellow ray florets (petals) surrounding a central cluster or disc florets. The disc florets open yellow and turn to nearly black with age. The flowers are held singly or in small clusters and are produced in August and September, possibly into October.
