Description: A clump-forming, herbaceous Perennial with an upright habit. Deep greenish-purple leaves (nearly black) are ovate to lanceolate in shape and have coarsely toothed margins. Double, daisy-like flowers have bright yellow petals (ray florets) that are orange-red towards the base. The petals surround a central disc that is golden yellow initially and fades to brown with age. The Blooms are held singly on upright stems and are produced from midsummer into mid-autumn. Good for use as cut flowers and attractive to pollinating insects.
Flower:
Double daisy-like flowers are composed of bright golden yellow ray florets (petals) that are orange-red at the base. The ray florets surround a central cluster of golden yellow disc florets that turn to brown with age. The blooms are held singly on upright stems and are produced from July into October.
