Description: A low-growing annual with an upright, then arching habit. Small, bristly mid-green leaves are lanceolate in shape and held in whorls on the stems. Slender, tubular flowers are a pretty shade of periwinkle-blue. The Blooms are held in dense Cymes and are produced through the summer. The Blooms have a sweet fragrance and are attractive to pollinating insects. Excellent for use as cut flowers.

Synonyms include - Asperula azurea, and Asperula azurea-setosa.

Flower:

Tubular flowers are a shade of periwinkle-blue and are sweetly scented. The blooms are held in dense cymes atop upright stems and are produced from June through August, though this is dependent on when seed was sown. Seed sown under glass during the winter will result in spring flowers.
