Description: A medium-sized Deciduous Shrub with an upright habit. Aromatic blue-green to dark green leave are obovate to Elliptic in shape with pointed tips. Small star-shaped flowers with long stamens are bright yellow. Male and female plants are produced on separate plants. The Blooms are held in clusters and are produced in mid-spring before the leaves have emerged. Where both male and female plants are present, red berries will be produced on the female plants after the flowers have finished. The leaves turn a vivid shade of yellow in autumn before falling. Rare in cultivation.

Flower:

Dioecious. Small star-shaped flowers with long stamens are bright yellow. The flowers are held in clusters and are produced in April before the leaves emerge. Where both male and female plants are present, red berries will be produced on the female plants after the flowers have finished.
