Description: A herbaceous Perennial with a clump-forming habit. Pale to mid-green leaves are oblong to lanceolate in shape and have coarsely toothed margins. The foliage and flower buds are covered in fine copper-coloured bristles. Large, nodding to outward-facing, saucer-shaped flowers are a beautiful shade of pale sky blue. Each Bloom has a showy central cluster of stamens with golden Anthers and a proud, pale green stigma. The Blooms are held in small clusters atop upright stems and are produced in late spring and early summer.

Flower:

Round, bristly buds open to large, nodding to outward-facing, saucer-shaped flowers that are a pale shade of sky blue. The blooms have broad, rounded petals and each flower has a prominent central cluster of white stamens with golden anthers and a proud, pale green stigma. The blooms are held in small clusters atop upright stems and are produced in May and June.

Best in partial shade in moist, acidic soil with good drainage. This Meconopsis prefers a position that stays relatively cool during the summer months.
