Description: A herbaceous Perennial with a clump-forming habit. Pale to mid-green leaves are oblong to lanceolate (sometimes Elliptic) in shape with coarsely toothed margins. The foliage and flower buds are covered in fine, copper-coloured bristles. Large outward-facing, saucer-shaped flowers are a beautiful shade of bright azure blue flushed lilac. Each Bloom has a showy central cluster of stamens with golden Anthers and a proud, white to pale green stigma. The flowers are held in clusters atop upright stems and are produced in late spring and early summer. The flowers are followed by bristly seed Capsules.

Flower:

Large outward-facing, saucer-shaped flowers are a bright shade of azure blue flushed with lilac. At the centre of each bloom is a prominent cluster of white stamens with golden anthers and a proud stigma that is white to pale green. The flowers are held in clusters atop upright stems and produced in May and June. The flowers are followed by bristly seed capsules.
