Description: A herbaceous Perennial with an upright habit. Mid-green to grey-green leaves are spoon-shaped at the base of the plant. The upper leaves clasp the stems and are ovate to heart-shaped. The flowers are held in compound umbels. Small, individual flowers have no petals and are held in clusters. Each flower cluster is surrounded by a showy, star-shaped ring of Bracts that are bronze-orange with yellow shading. The flowerheads are held in umbels atop upright stems and are produced throughout the summer. Excellent for use as cut flowers and attractive to pollinating insects.

Flower:

Small apetalous flowers are a shade of bronze-brown and held in cluster-like umbels. Each flowerhead is surrounded by a showy, star-shaped collar of bronze-orange bracts that are flushed with yellow. The flowers are held in compound umbels atop upright stems and are produced from June through August.
