Description: A clump-forming herbaceous Perennial with an upright habit. This species is variable. Bright mid-green leaves are linear in shape with finely toothed margins. The leaves are long, arching and can reach to 1.4m in length. Deep orange buds open to slightly paler orange, tubular flowers with protruding stamens. The Blooms gradually turn to golden yellow with age. The Blooms are held in dense, oblong spikes that open from the base upwards, and often have both orange and yellow flowers simultaneously. The flowers are produced as early as midsummer to mid-autumn, depending on the clone. Excellent for use as cut flowers.
