Description: A bulbous Perennial with an upright habit. Pale to mid-green leaves are lanceolate to oblong in shape and held in whorls up the stems. Fragrant trumpet-shaped flowers with narrow tepals (petals) are white and can be speckled with deep purple. At the centre of each Bloom is a cluster of long stamens with yellow Anthers. The flowers slowly turn pink with age. The Blooms are held in upright Racemes and are produced in midsummer.

This lily was named for the inaugural first lady, Martha Washington, not the state of Washington.

Fragrant, trumpet-shaped lily flowers with narrow tepals are white and may be speckled with purple. At the centre of each blooms is a cluster of long stamens with yellow anthers. The blooms gradually fade to pink with age. The flowers are held in racemes on upright stems and are produced in July.
