Description: A clump-forming herbaceous Perennial with an upright habit. Aromatic mid to dark green leaves are oblong to ovate in shape. The leaves have a wrinkled texture and scalloped margins. Small, tubular 2-lipped flowers are violet-blue and have reddish-purple calyces. The lower lip of each Bloom develops a subtle white edge with age. The flowers are held in branching, upright Racemes from midsummer into early autumn. The flowers are very attractive to pollinating insects. This cultivar was selected by renowned garden designer and nurseryman, Piet Oudulf, and named it for his wife, Anja.

Flower:

Small, tubular 2-lipped flowers are violet-blue and have reddish-purple calyces. The lower lip of each bloom will develop a slight white edge with age. The blooms are held in branching, upright racemes and produced from July into September.
