Description: A clump-forming herbaceous Perennial with an upright habit. Long, bright green leaves are broadly lanceolate to ovate in shape with pointed tips. The base of the leaves are heart-shaped and clasp the stems. 'Amplexicaulis', the species name, means 'stem-clasping'. Reddish-pink buds open to small, clear rose-pink flowers. The Blooms are bell to bowl-shaped and have prominent stamens. The flowers are held in dense, upright spikes from midsummer into mid-autumn. Attractive to pollinating insects.
