Description: A clump-forming Perennial with an upright habit. Pinnately-lobed leaves have oblong to lanceolate leaflets. The leaves are pale to mid-green with silvery-white undersides. The cornflower-like Blooms are composed of an inner cluster of short, white, tubular florets surrounded by a ring of larger, mauve-pink florets that are flared and deeply notched at the tips. The flowerheads are held at the tips of the stems and produced from early to late summer. Excellent for use as cut flowers and attractive to pollinating insects.

Flower:

Cornflower-like blooms are composed of an inner cluster of shorter, white, tubular florets surrounded by a ring of longer, mauve-pink florets that are flared and deeply notched at the tips. The flowerheads are held at the tips of the upright stems and produced from June into August.
