Description: A small, Deciduous tree with a weeping habit. Narrow, lanceolate leaves emerge covered in soft silver felt and gradually become smooth and grey-green as they develop. The young stems also have a silver hue. Creamy-white bowl-shaped flowers are held in clusters and are produced as the leaves begin to emerge in mid-spring. The flowers are followed by small green, pear-shaped fruit that matures to brown. Attractive to pollinating insects.
