Description: A small, Deciduous tree with an oval outline and upright branches. Large attractive, pinnate leaves have mid to dark green leaflets that are ovate to oval in shape with coarsely toothed margins. The leaves have striking, deep blood-red petioles. Tiny, pale greenish-yellow to creamy-white flowers are cup and saucer-shaped and fragrant. The Blooms are held in loose panicles and are produced in late spring. The flowers are followed by round, purple-black berries.

Large, mid to dark green pinnate leaves have ovate to oval leaflets with Dentate margins. The leaves have blood-red petioles. The leaves are Alternately arranged on upright stems, but are sometimes held so close together they almost appear to be held in clusters.

Best in full sun in fertile, moisture-retentive soil that is well-drained. This plant will grow best in a soil with a neutral to acidic pH.
