Description: A small to medium-sized Deciduous Shrub with an upright, bushy habit. Large, mid to dark green leaves are deeply Divided with lanceolate to narrowly ovate leaflets. Single bowl-shaped flowers are a rich, deep shade of burgundy red with glossy petals, and are subtended with long green Bracts. At the centre of each Bloom is a prominent cluster of stamens with red filaments and golden yellow Anthers. The Blooms are outward-facing to nodding and held at the tips of the stems. The Blooms are produced in late spring and are attractive to pollinating insects.
Flower:
Single bowl-shaped flowers are a deep shade of burgundy red and are subtended by prominent, long green bracts. At the centre of each bloom is a showy cluster of stamens with red filaments and golden anthers. The outward-facing to nodding blooms are held singly atop the stems and are produced in May.
