Description: A clump-forming herbaceous Perennial that forms a very large mound of basal foliage that can reach more than a metre across. Smooth, waxy leaves are ovate to heart-shaped and each can reach more than 50cm in length. The leaves are a bright shade of yellow-green and become golden yellow and puckered with age. Pale violet, tubular bell-shaped flowers are held in upright Racemes well above the foliage and are produced from mid to late summer. Excellent for use as cut flowers and attractive to pollinating insects. This plant is mainly grown for the effect of the foliage.

Tubular bell-sh.aped flowers are a shade of pale violet. The blooms are held in upright racemes (that can reach 125cm in height) well above the foliage and are produced in July and August.
