Description: A large, Deciduous Shrub or small tree with an open, spreading habit. Large, mid-green leaves are ovate to Elliptic in shape and emerge after the flowers. Large, cup-shaped magnolia flowers are a deep, rich shade of reddish-purple and are paler on the inside. The Blooms are held singly on the bare branches and are produced from early into mid-spring.

Cup-shaped Magnolia flowers are a deep shade of reddish-purple. The rounded tepals are a paler shade on the inside. The blooms are held singly along the branches and produced before the leaves emerge in March and April.
