Description: A rhizomatous Perennial with mounds of basal foliage. The peltate, umbrella-like leaves are palmately lobed with pointed and toothed lobes. The leaves are mid-green and, apart from a patch at the centre, are heavily mottled and spotted with maroon. Pendent, bell-shaped flowers have long, slender, deep red petals. The Blooms are held in clusters in the Axils of the leaves and are produced from late spring into early summer. The flowers are hidden below the foliage.
