Description: A clump-forming, herbaceous Perennial with upright stems. Mid to dark green leaves are ovate in shape and have finely toothed margins. Round, balloon-like buds (hence the common name) open to rich purple, star-like flowers that are bell-shaped. Each Bloom has darker purple veining on the petals and a showy white centre. The flowers are held in small clusters atop upright stems and are produced from mid to late summer. Good for use as cut flowers.
