Description: A medium-sized Deciduous tree with a conical outline that becomes more rounded with age. Enormous, dark green leaves are ovate to heart-shaped with finely toothed margins. Each leaf can reach 30cm in length and nearly the same across. Yellowish-green catkins are produced in mid-spring. The leaves turn yellow in autumn before falling.

Populus lasiocarpa can be cut back to maintain the large leaf size and overall height.
