Many sterile florets are held in large, mophead-like Corymbs atop upright stems and are produced from mid-summer into early autumn. The colour of the florets will depend on the pH of the soil the plant is growing in. Alkaline to neutral soils will produce rich rose pink florets, acidic soil will produce pale blue.
