Description: A medium-sized, Deciduous Shrub with an upright, suckering habit. Mid to dark green leaves are oblong to lanceolate in shape. Small, bell-shaped flowers are creamy white and scented. The flowers are held in pendent Racemes on the branches and are produced from late winter into early spring. Dioecious (male and female flowers are produced on separate plants). If both male and female plants are present in the garden, round, purplish-black fruit may be produced.
