Description: A wild rose with an upright, spreading habit. Dark green, pinnate leaves have oval to rounded leaflets with finely toothed margins. The leaves are aromatic (hence the common name, 'Incense Rose') and are held on dark, prickly stems. Single, saucer-shaped flowers are pale, primrose yellow. At the centre of each Bloom is a showy central cluster of bright yellow stamens. The flowers are produced along the stems in late spring and are followed by round, red hips.
