Semi-double to double, bowl-shaped flowers are bright, clear pink and have ruffled petals. The Blooms fade to a paler shade of pink with age. The flowers are held in clusters and are produced, continuously, from early summer into late autumn and are followed by red hips. Excellent for use as cut flowers.
Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
Synonyms include - R. 'Bonica 82', R. 'Demon'. Apparently, Meilland Roses released a rose called 'Bonica' in the 1950's that was scarlet, hence the need for the name 'Bonica 82'. It does, however, appear that the original scarlet 'Bonica' is no longer in cultivation, and plants now sold under this name are in fact the pink variety.
Bonica is a trademark name, the true cultivar name for this rose is 'Meidomonac'
