Description: Small, Deciduous tree with an upright habit that gradually becomes more rounded with age. The leaves are mid-green and ovate to Elliptic in shape. Large, cup and saucer-shaped flowers are deep rose pink, paler inside. Flowers are produced in early to mid-spring before the leaves emerge. As the tree ages, the flowers develop a deeper reddish-purple colour, though in a difficult growing year the flowers will be lighter.

Profuse, large cup and saucer-shaped flowers are deep pink, paler inside. Flowers are produced in March and April before the leaves emerge.
