Description: Medium-sized Deciduous Shrub with slender, arching branches. The lanceolate leaves are mid-green with yellow variegation at the margins which gradually fades to creamy white with age. Dense panicles of fragrant, vivid magenta flowers with orange at the throat are produced from summer into autumn. 'Harlequin' is a sport of Buddleja davidii 'Royal Red'.

Flower:

Masses of small, tubular, magenta flowers, each with an orange spot at the throat, are produced in panicles from July to September. Fragrant.

Foliage:

Mid-green lanceolate leaves have yellow variegation at the margins which fade to creamy white with age. Leaves are felted on the undersides and persist on the plant into late autumn or winter. The leaves are held in opposite pairs on the branches.
