Description: A medium-sized Deciduous Shrub with upright, arching branches. The prickly stems are covered in a silvery-white waxy Bloom. Golden yellow, pinnate leaves have ovate to lanceolate leaflets and toothed margins. 'Goldenvale' is mostly grown for the attractive foliage and stem colour, but it does produce small, deep pink, saucer-shaped flowers. The flowers are produced from early to midsummer and are followed by small black berries.
