Description: A small-sized Deciduous tree with a rounded outline and peeling, aromatic bark. Pterostyrax hispida can also be grown as a multi-stemmed Shrub. Mid-green leaves are oval to obovate in shape and can reach 20cm in length. Pendent panicles of fragrant, white, bell-shaped flowers are produced from early to midsummer. The flowers are followed by small, beige fruit covered in soft brown hair.
