Description: Medium-sized, clump-forming bamboo with hollow canes that gracefully arch at the outer edges of the clump, but are upright towards the centre. The moss green stems fade to yellowish-green with age and hold delicate, thin, blue-green leaves. Very occasionally branched panicles of burgundy flowers are produced, however, Himalayacalamus falconeri is monocarpic, so the plant will die after flowering.
