Description: A vigorous, Deciduous climber with woody stems that twine in a clockwise direction. Attractive, dark green, pinnate leaves have ovate to Elliptic leaflets. Fragrant, violet-purple, pea-like flowers are held in pendent Racemes that can reach to 1m or more in length. The flowers are produced in a heavy flush in early summer, and then intermittently afterwards. The leaves turn an attractive shade of soft yellow in autumn before falling.

This Wisteria has many synonyms. The list includes - Wisteria floribunda 'Longissima', W. floribunda 'Multijuga', W. floribunda 'Naga-noda', W. longissima, and W. multijuga.

Flower:

Fragrant, violet-blue, pea-like flowers are held in very long, pendent racemes that can reach to 1m or more in length. The flowers are produced in a prolific flush in June, and then intermittently thereafter. The flowers are followed by velvety, long, green, bean-like seed pods.
