Description: A bulbous Perennial with an upright habit. Aromatic grey-green leaves are strap-shaped and held at the base of the plant. Globe-like umbels of dark violet-purple are composed of many small star-shaped flowers. The flowerheads are produced atop tall stems from late spring to early summer. Excellent for use as cut flowers and attractive to pollinating insects.

Round umbels of deep violet-purple, star-shaped flowers are produced on long stems in May and June.
